When seconds count, would you know what to do? Trauma is the leading cause for all people ages 1 to 44. But there’s a powerful solution within your reach: first aid and stop the bleed training.
Why is first aid and stop the bleed training so crucial? Here’s why:
We offer a wide selection of first aid certification programs through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Health & Safety Institute and some of our own custom-designed programs. As with any of the training programs we offer, we place extraordinary emphasis on ensuring that participants leave comfortable with the topic, better prepared, and confident that they can properly apply the skills they learn with us. We use a number of tools and techniques during our first aid courses to ensure students are given valuable, tangible feedback on their performance.

The Health & Safety Institute (HSI) Emergency Medical Response training program provides a detailed and comprehensive approach for managing out-of-hospital medical emergencies prior to the arrival of EMS. The program is designed to provide non-EMS responders more depth and exposure to standard first aid training topics to provide richer and more advanced training. It meets and exceeds workplace first aid training requirements and satisfies the desire to learn more than just basic first aid without the burden associated with EMS provider training and certification. Emergency Medical Response provides comparable training to that of Emergency Medical Responder, the base-level training for EMS providers, although the program is not intended for training EMS providers or preparing students to be eligible for EMS provider testing and certification. Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body. The HSI Emergency Use of Medical Oxygen program focuses on how to administer emergency medical oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons using oxygen delivery systems. Using updated 2020 Guidelines, Emergency Use of Medical Oxygen training is useful for First Aid, CPR AED, and/or BLS providers who may find themselves treating hypoxia in emergency situations such as the depressurization of an aircraft cabin, decompression illness in scuba divers, drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, or other critical illnesses and injuries, including cardiac arrest. HSI Emergency Use of Medical Oxygen is an excellent supplement to First Aid, CPR AED, and BLS programs.
Stop the Bleed training focuses on the rapid identification and aggressive management of the #1 cause of preventable death that occurs secondary to trauma; uncontrolled life-threatening external hemorrhage. In this course you will learn how to manage scene safety, rapidly identify life-threatening hemorrhage, management techniques such as the use of tourniquets and hemostatic dressings for wound packing, preventing and managing shock, and turning over the victim to a higher level of care. This course uses scenario-based training evolutions heavily as a teaching tool to set up coaches, athletic trainers, and other support staff for success. includes AHA Heartsaver CPR AED First Aid certification valid for 2 years.
